A Moment Of Schadenfreude–With Electrolytes!

“Wow, that is…look–I hate to say ‘I told you so’, but that is awful.”

The truth was, Peter didn’t hate saying “I told you so”. He kind of loved it, at least in this instance.

Because ever since the first time Vance had told him about his business plan and tried to get Peter to invest in it, Peter had been telling him it was a terrible idea.

But his words had fallen on deaf ears and Vance had charged ahead with his plan, never missing an opportunity to inform Peter that he was making a huge mistake by not getting in on the ground floor and that he’d be sorry.

So Peter was enjoying his moment of schadenfreude. That is, enjoying it as much as he could after having taken a sip of Vance’s vile concoction. It tasted just like it looked–like watered-down bacon grease.

And he was going to tell Vance exactly that, and also suggest to him one last time before he actually unveiled that stuff to the public that–contrary to his bizarre insistence–maybe there was not much of a market for a scrapple-flavored sports drink.

But first, he excused himself to go to the bathroom and get some Tums.
